While NOPI has not been the same without Mark Meyers, Sting has managed to keep the tradition alive, and was able to get a NOPI show setup at the Myrtle Beach Speedway. A few of us took the drive over there for the show, and covered what we could.
When we got to the track, it was packed. It seems that every lifted truck in the south tried to all fit inside the speedway. The wait to get in was 4 hours long, and every inch of the infield and track was needed to get everyone in. I heard that even with that, some of the people still couldn’t get it, it was that packed.
They had a lot of activities also, including a motorcycle stunt show, drifting, tug-of-war, worst tattoo contest, vaping contest, and of course the swimsuit contest.
Below are just a few of the many photos that I took, the rest are on my Flickr account here.
