Caffeine and Octane – August 2013

Today was the most packed day ever for C&O – by far. I got there just before 7am, and the main lot was already full and had already started to fill up the secondary/lower lot. By the time that a friend of mine got there (7:30), the lower lot was also full and there was nowhere left to park. It got so bad that the police finally blocked off the entrances, so no one else could pull in. In the main lot, it was impossible to get a good shot, as there was always someone standing in front of you, and it got tight just walking around.

The problem is that plenty of the cars were not really exotic, heavily modified, etc. – they were just regular cars (some with wheels). This kept some very nice custom cars from being able to get a spot. I saw the Cutworm Specialties rod drive through, but apparently, he could not get a spot in either lot. Likewise, the orange RX-7 from Kong’s Body Shop could not get a spot either, and he took it back home. C&O definitely needs a bigger location.

Since there were people in the way everywhere, it was difficult to get any shots that I thought were actually decent, so this month you will get more quantity rather than quality. Here are about 50 of the photos, and the rest are located on the Caffeine and Octane forum and on ImportAtlanta.
