If you are on this page, you probably think that you want to know what I am like, and might be trying to decide if you want to have me do some work for you. So, instead of just stating “who I am” (I do that farther down), let me instead explain who the ideal client is, and you can determine quickly if you think that we would work well together.
Quite simply, I work best with vibrant, creative Professionals. That’s the business world that I work in, and have the most experience with. Educated professionals – doctors, lawyers, IT consultants, etc – all understand the importance of doing anything you do with excellence.
In today’s age, everyone offers “quality”, but to be honest, everyone has good gear, and can make great looking photos. You shouldn’t contact me because “you want me to make great looking photos” – you should contact me because you are looking for someone that you can trust and work with to deliver what you need.
The ideal client doesn’t just tell me what they want me to do. They tell me what their goals are, and respond to the questions that I ask about those goals. They tell me about themselves, and build mutual trust before starting any projects. I value trust, integrity, and transparency, and the ideal client that I wish to collaborate and network with.
My approach to photography is simple and is how I approach all things that I am involved in – whatever you do, do it with excellence. What this means is that I am always striving to take what I know and do now, and improve on it – constantly.
If you still are wondering who I am, you can keep reading the below text, but honestly, the most important person that is written about on this page is YOU – the person reading it.
I am an IT Consultant based in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, I work with business intelligence applications in enterprise software development. I am not a full-time professional photographer, as photography as a profession just cannot pay nearly as well as software development.
As a hobby, I have always been involved with cars and motorcycles, and have merged photography with these interests. I am usually at a lot of the local Atlanta automotive events, and at some racing events.
Most importantly, I shoot my own family photos. The only important thing that survives the ages for generations is your family, so the records of your family are of paramount importance, so that you can pass them down to later generations. That’s why I take such care of my family photos, and you should as well.
My current equipment is Nikon based, and my main camera is currently a Nikon D600. I am mostly shooting Nikon primes (28/50/85 – f/1.8G), but also shoot a Tamron SP 17-35mm f/2.8-4, a Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S and a Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR AF-S.
My flashes are Nikon SB-800’s, and my bags of choice are Lowepro and Crumpler. The tripod that you will see me with the most is my Dolica CX600B520D/S.
All of the photos on my site are free for personal use. Please just don’t claim them as your own and pretend that you took them. If you want a print, let me know, and I can send you a link to order it, and have it professionally printed and delivered to you. I have accounts with a couple of professional photo developing laboratories, so it makes it easy on you.
If you wish to use a photo in a commercial usage, please contact me first and request usage rights from me. All photos are copyrighted as soon as they are taken, by law.
