The day belonged to McLaren. Only two 570S exist in the US (as of this post). One of them was brought out by Motorcars of Georgia to Caffeine and Exotics.
The weather started off clear and sunny, but it got cloudy during the morning, and you can see that in the photos below. Attendance appeared to be down on the car owner side, with fewer cars showing, but attendance from spectators remained quite high. The unfortunate side effect of that is there is very little chance of getting a good photo with all of the people milling about. I only got my photos by picking my timing and using some techniques to help manage the crowd.
The cars that were there still were high caliber. In addition to the 570S, there was a whole row of McLarens next to it, and opposite them were a pair of Porsche Carrera GTs. It’s rare enough to see just one, but two is unheard of. The Lamborghini and Audi groups were there as always, and parked together for the most part. Ferrari attendance did seem to be a little less than normal this month. A blue BMW i8 made an appearance, and did not have a crowd around it – funny to think that just a couple of months ago it was almost impossible to get a good shot of one due to the crowds around them.
One trend with C&E is hopefully here to stay – having a new debut of a new supercar/hypercar every month.
