This time, the weather was great. Although it rained the night before, the roads were mostly dry before I headed out to C&O. The ride was a little more dangerous that I wanted it to be though – had two does (in different places along the waY0 stand right on the edge of the road looking like they were going to jump out in front of me. Luckily for me, they stayed there, blinded by my HIDs on my motorcycle. I got there at 6am, and the main lot was already packed.
Unfortunately, some of the Nissan and Miata guys decided to park where the exotics always park, leaving no room for the cars that people actually come to see. Most of the Lamborghini and Ferrari guys left when they couldn’t get any parking. Just a month ago, people on FaceBook were complaining that there is a Caffeine & Exotics show that doesn’t let non-exotics in, yet here we see the need for a show like that now.
Luckily we did have a couple of special appearances by a couple of rare Jaguars – including an extremely rare XJ220. I snapped as many photos of it as I could get, but there was a crowd around it the whole time. A ’71 XKE convertible also made it there.
KBS brought out his LS1-powered RX7 FD widebody, and someone else brought out a clean Mustang foxbody with a very clean Coyote-swap as well.
Full resolution photos are up on my Flickr account here.
